Clinics
Berkeley APALSA is committed to community service and provides opportunities for
members to serve the large Asian American community in the Bay Area. Through community
outreach and volunteering, APALSA members gain hands-on experience and knowledge on
immigration, family, and criminal law. We work closely with two major clinics: the API
East Bay Free Legal Clinic and the Asian Community Immigration Clinic.
For more information, please contact Political / Community chairs
Kamaile Maldonando at kmaldonado@berkeley.edu and
Jennifer Murakami at murakami@berkeley.edu.
Fellowship
Berkeley APALSA is committed supporting students and community members that devote
their lives and passions to public interest work. Last year, APALSA spearheaded the
first Dale Minami Boalt Alumni Fellowship Dinner (see
http://www.apalsa-boalt.org/Fellowship/
),
which supports outstanding Asian American students who commit to working in the public
interest sector upon graduation.
For more information about Berkeley APALSA's commitment to public interest fellowship,
please contact Alumni Chair Bryan Springmeyer at bryans@berkeley.edu.
